Mattress springs

1.42mm wire springs, 51mm in diameter, sewn in individual calico pockets and hand-formed into a honeycomb-nested unit.

Mattress border

21cm deep with two rows of genuine hand side-stitching. Eight horizontal handles on Kingsize and above. Air vents on all sides. Borders upholstered in protective wool, finished with piped ticking.

Mattress upholstery

Upholstered with 1,000gsm bonded British fleece wool and cotton, then 1,200gsm long-stranded horsehair, enclosed in a hair-proof cambric cover. Overlaid with a layer of 1,200gsm blended British fleece wool and cotton. Covered with your choice of our finest quality Belgian ticking from the Vi-Spring collection. Hand tufted with felt washers.
